This was a combination I would never have thought to try, had it not been for a lovely subscription art box company called Scrawlrbox. One of their boxes featured a beautiful set of Wolff’s Graphite pencils with a gold pen, and as soon as I started to sketch, I fell in love with the idea. I’ve since added my own variations on the basic concept, such as using tinted charcoal, liquid graphite or inks, or different accent materials, but it’s a theme I return to regularly.
